Opening Prayer: Almighty God, we celebrate this day your Son’s entrance into the holy city of Jerusalem; we join our hearts and voices with those who hailed him as King and spread their cloaks and palm branches along His way. Let those branches be for us signs of His victory and grant that we who bear them in His name may ever hail Him as our Lord and follow Him in the way that leads to eternal life. In His name we pray, AMEN.

Prayer of Thanksgiving: O God of glory and of majesty, we have stood with the crowd to sing your praises, and then been lured away by other devotions. Yet with passion and compassion you have embraced us once again as your children. We pray that the gifts we bring and the gifts of our hearts this special day might be worthy in your sight. We pray with humble hope that we might be your faithful disciples in our homes, our church, our community, and our world. AMEN.
